This guide provides gateway to online learning resources for kids, teens, and parents.

Access to King County Library System Databases

King County Library System (www.kcls.org) – The online resources from the King County Library System are available to all RTC students. Please watch this short video for how to access KCLS databases.

ABCMouse - Read interactive books. Play educational games and solve puzzles. Learn with activities. For children ages 2-8.

Access Video: Just for Kids - Explore streaming educational videos that are kid-safe and ad-free. With the videos kids want to watch, plus songs and games to educate and entertain.

BookFlix Video Storybooks - Build a love of reading and learning in your pre-K-3 young readers. Watch classic video storybooks paired with related nonfiction eBooks, including some in Spanish.

Britannica Library - Find accurate articles, images, definitions, and websites  to help you complete school assignments or explore your interests. Read or listen to articles at a reading level that is right for you.

Britannica Library Children - Read or listen to articles at a reading level that is right for you. Find facts to finish your homework. Learn a new word. Explore articles, images, definitions, and websites for kids.

Culturegrams - Learn about what life is like from countries around the world.

Daily Life Through History - Explore the details of daily life around the world from pre-history to today. Learn through articles, maps, charts, and primary documents. Engage your students with lesson plans.

eLibrary (ProQuest) - Get all the resources you need for your next research project in one place. Choose from topic guides about people, places, historical events, books, and current events.

Gale In Context: Biography - Get biographical information that you can rely on for your next paper or project. Connect with accurate and engaging articles, videos, audio, and images.

Kanopy Kids - Watch a streaming collection of age-appropriate films and TV series selected for kids.

Mango Languages - Learn a new language at your own pace. Practice reading, writing, and listening in online lessons.

Novelist Library - Find your next reading recommendation. Get read-alikes, books that are similar to another book you like. Research an author or book. Explore themed book lists. Get discussion guides for your book group. Read articles about books and authors.

OverDrive eBooks for Kids - Find the right eBook for your kids. Reading is easy on your computer, mobile device, or eReader. Customize the font size, spacing, or use a different font including dyslexic.

SIRS Discoverer - Find sources for your school report or project. Read articles and eBooks written for students in grades K-8. Search for downloadable eBooks by grade level or subject.

TumbleBook Library - Watch video storybooks and read-alongs. For readers in grades K-6, including some in Spanish and French.
