The Renton Technical College Library was created by its first librarian, Eric Palo. It used to consist of one small room in Building H! Today, the large atrium of the library is located on the second floor of the Learning Resource Center in Building C.
The RTC Library's Historical Archive Collection is located in the Library Reserves. This collection includes some items that are available for checkout, including a book and a few VHS tapes. It also includes a box of historical documents that can be viewed in the library only, including some old building floor plans, old catalog materials, library staff historical brochures and photos, old newspapers, and other items of interest. There is also a copy of the Renton Technical College Community Art Mosaic with indicators of some library staff at the time (a photo is included below).
For more information about the collection, or to view items not available for checkout, please contact the RTC Librarians at Librarian@rtc.edu or call (425) 235-2331.
