PrepSTEP: Home

PrepSTEP is different from most RTC databases. You will need to login twice: once to authenticate as an RTC student/employee, and a second time so that PrepSTEP can track your progress and keep a record of any tests you take, so that you can find them later.

1. Go to the RTC library home page.
2. Click on the Online Databases link.
3. Scroll down until you see PrepSTEP.

4. Click on the PrepSTEP link.
5. You will be asked to log into the RTC Databases. Type in your RTC Student email address and your RTC student email password.
6. You will now be taken to the PrepSTEP main page.  You will know that you are logged into the RTC account because you will see the RTC name at the top:

7. Look around in PrepSTEP and find something you want to look at. You will see a second log-in request. It will look like this:

8. Click on this button.  Here you will register to make a personal account. (If you've already made a personal PrepSTEP account, just type in your PrepSTEP user name and password.) To make a new PrepSTEP account, click on the Register button.

9. Fill out the short form and click the Register button. You only have to fill out the fields with an asterisk *. Once you've registered, you can then access any PrepSTEP book, take tests, or review tests you've taken in the past.
