Scholarship Resources: Washington State Scholarships

The Washington State Fair Foundation awards more than $160,000 in scholarships annually to students living in Washington!

This organization offers a Career and Technical Scholarship ($1500) for an eligible trade/STEM/health care/technical college program, application for Spring Quarter open: January 4th. They also offer a Baccalaureate Scholarship for those who want to continue to get their BAS degree.

The Leadership 1000 Scholarship awards funding to certain high school seniors attending eligible high schools and who are planning to enroll in a Washington state college or university. The scholarship is renewable and it is available in amounts up to $5,000 per academic year.

This organization connects Washington students with all types of Washington scholarship providers.

Each awarded scholarship is $2,500 and renewable for two years ($5,000 total). With the help of our business partners, member donations, and fundraising activities, we award a minimum of 25 scholarships each year.

The Costco Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to highly qualified underrepresented minority students who wish to attend Seattle University or the University of Washington.

We select women who represent WWIN’s values and are ready to transform their lives through higher education. Our Scholars receive up to $5,000 per year towards their cost of attendance, and those who remain eligible receive support until they graduate. They also have access to our Resiliency Fund to help with financial setbacks that arise outside of school and could impact their education.

Deadline to apply: March 17

The minimum award is $4,500 per year for up to two years, or $9,000. The maximum award is $11,700 per year for up to two years, or $23,400. Two years means six quarters or four semesters.

The award covers most undergraduate expenses at a Washington public or private college or university, or licensed private career school in this state.

The RTC Foundation offers 50 different scholarships to recognize numerous achievements, including academic and personal achievements, and are based on your financial need. We have a general scholarship based on your financial need, and numerous scholarships that are program-related, awarded for outstanding academic achievement, school leadership, community service, and for individuals who have overcome challenges in life.

The Renton Regional Community Foundation makes over $70,000 in scholarships awards available each year.

Seattle Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships for high school seniors and undergraduate/graduate college students, with awards ranging in value from $500 to full tuition.

The Renton Lions Scholarship was established to award to 2 students each year who has shown an interest and devotion to service in his or her community.

he City of Tukwila Scholarship Program was established in 2014. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled for undergraduate study in community colleges, colleges, trade schools and universities.

Scholarships geared toward Kent area seniors in high school

Students graduating from high school (or who have earned their GED) and adults continuing their education who attend school in Des Moines, Washington, or who live in the cities of Des Moines or Normandy Park, Washington, may be eligible.Deadline for applications is March 31.
